MILTON - Goldring Gulf Distributing showed off their new $18 million beverage distribution center at the Santa Rosa Industrial Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday morning.

Goldring's new 191,450 square foot Beverage Distribution Center was built to combine the company's Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola facilities. The new operation, which opened in February, employs 220 people and services more than 2,200 retail accounts.

Speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony included Elliot Maisel, chairman and CEO of Gulf Distributing Holdings LLC; Santa Rosa County Commissioner Don Salter and Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward.

"We had no one in the company quit because we closed Fort Walton and Pensacola facilities," Maisel said. "We are a business family and we are going to add more jobs, we continue to add more jobs."

Tours of the new facility were also given after the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Goldring Gulf Distributing is a total beverage distributor representing more than 75 different suppliers including MillerCoors, Heineken, Crown Imports, SweetWater, Abita, New Belgium Brewing, Red Bull North America, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and others.

Goldring Gulf Distributing Company is part of Gulf Distributing Holdings LLC, which is the parent company of four beverage distribution operations: Gulf Distributing Company of Mobile in Alabama, Allstate Beverage Company in Montgomery, Alabama, Energy Beverage Management Company in Mississippi and Goldring Gulf Distributing.

Working with the Santa Rosa County Economic Development Office, Goldring Gulf Distributing purchased 35 acres in the industrial park in December 2013 for $20,000 per acre. The county?s land pricing program is an incentive available for new and expanding industry that offers discounted land pricing on county owned industrial park property.
